Places: ASOLO (20 KM)

Works of great historical, artistic and cultural value, alleys, mansions and porches: they all evince the antiquity of this town and speak of its past as if the visitors found themselves in the halls of a permanent exhibition, where one can truly admire the unique work of nature and of the human genius. The idea of ecomuseum finds its perfect expression in this place. Asolo preserves its characteristic medieval stamp, protected within its defensive walls and lying underneath the rocca, an imposing medieval defensive structure on top of Monte Ricco. Asolo is also famous because Eleonora Duse, Gabriele D'Annunzio's lover, spent there the last years of her life.

Antique market:
since 1976 the antique market takes place every second Sunday of the month, except in July and August. Furniture, jewellery, silverware, prints and books, modern antiques and fancy goods are on display in the streets and alleys of the old town centre.
