The Oasi Naturalistica del Mulino Cervara (Wildlife Oasis of Cervara Water Mill) is located in S.Cristina di Quinto di Treviso in via Cornarotta 50, 31050 Quinto di Treviso. The Regional Natural Park of the Sile river comprises a protected area along the course of the Sile, which is the longest river in Europe originating from watersprings. It flows through the Veneto plain traversing a few comuni in the provinces of Treviso, Padua and Venice.

A few miles to the East of Treviso, at Santa Cristina di Quinto, the courses of the Sile and of the Piovega torrent enclose a fenland island of breathtaking beauty, which comes under the protection of the institution Oasi Naturalistica del Mulino Cervara. The small nature reserve is a biotope of great interest due to its biological diversity and has been classified as a Site of Community Importance (SCI) as a natural wildlife sanctuary and a place of preservation of the spontaneous flora of the Sile.
 

The reserve can be explored on foot or by going upstream in a typical boat called pantana ridden by a waterman who will accompany you to the discovery of the most beautiful and enchanting spots around the fenland.

From the Cervara reserve, on all Sundays between May and September it is possible to go for a guided tour of the fen by boat. In the course of the 45 minutes' boat trip along one of the most picturesque stretches of the Sile, it is possible to explore the inner channels of the reserve and the interior of the fen, and also see a fontanile, a typical wellspring of the Po Plain.

The entrance of the nature reserve is located on the Strada Provinciale 17 (Provincial Road 17) running between Treviso and Badoere di Morgano.
 

How to reach the reserve:

By car: drive along the Strada Terraglio until Treviso then turn left at Quinto di Treviso towards Santa Cristina.

By train: there is a direct connection for Treviso from Mestre station. From Treviso the reserve of Cervara can be reached by bus Line 3 of La Marca Trevigiana Autoservizi running between Treviso - Badoere - Piombino Dese.
