The Santa Teresa Residence is situated in a great location: at approximately 15 minutes by bus (line 6E) from Venice.
From “Piazzale Roma”, from the “Santa Lucia” train station and from the “Tronchetto” (reachable by car), leave all the principal lines of the “vaporetti” (Public boat busses), ” motoscafi” (motor boats) and “traghetti” (ferry- boats),which allow to reach in a few moments the “San Marco Square”, the “Rialto bridge”, the “La Fenice theatre“, the Venice Casino, the “Palazzo Grassi”, the “Biennial of Arte as well as the one of Architecture.
By foot between the streets or in a gondola on the Canal Grande, one can admire the the most significant monuments and museums of Venice and then to take a break at “caffè Florian” or “caffè Quadri” watching with extasy the view of the “Basilica di San Marco”, the “Palazzo Ducale” and the “Procuratie” with the “Museo Correr” and the “Biblioteca Marciana”. Not to miss either are events such as the Venice world famous carneval, the “Vogalonga” and the ritual “Sposalizio del Doge con il mare” (festivity of the Ascension) which happens on the Bucintoro Laguna.
The most refined shopping is done between the glass, gold and lace boutiques in the San Marco Square”.
Using the “vaporetto” or “traghetto” on the Venice laguna, it will be possible to reach fascinating islands such as “Lido” (Cinema show, hotel Excelsior and also well equipped beaches), “Murano” (Glass factories), “Burano” (hand made laces), “Torcello”, “San Francesco del Deserto” and the Armeni.
Escursions not to be missed to other cities of art such as “Treviso”, “Padova”, “Verona”, “Vicenza”, “Trieste”, “Ferrara” and the various expositions, musical representations, theatres, lirics in the respective museums, theatres, arenas and public squares.
Moreover:
- The sea and beaches of “Jesolo”, “Bibione”, “Lignano Sabbiadoro” and “Caorle” which are at only 40 Km and with their numerous and heavily frequented nocturnal locals.
- The splendid Dolomiti mountains from Cadore to Cortina (80/120 Km)
- The “prosecco” from the “Valdobbiadene” hills.
